Me? Filthy Rich?

“So since you’ve sold over 10,000 copies of your book YGOD does that mean you’re filthy rich?” This was a question I got from an 8th grader at Capistrano Valley Christian school when I visited to speak and answer questions. As a young apologist, sometimes I get asked questions I don’t know the answer to, but this one was kind of unexpected.

The truth is I haven’t seen any Benjamins lately and I suspect it’s my publisher that’s making off with all the cash (Regal Publishing, are you listening?)

But seriously, it was a great experience at Capistrano Valley Christian school. I was invited by Sean McDowell, son of the famous apologist Josh McDowell. Sean has established his own amazing reputation as an author, apologist, and educator. He serves as the head of the Bible Department at Capistrano Valley Christian Schools where he teaches Philosophy, Theology, and Apologetics. He is currently working on his PhD in Apologetics and Worldview studies. You can check out his website at  He is a favorite among the students at CVC and we had a great time engaging the students in philosophical debate.

While at CVC I was asked great questions about the writing process, religion, and Jesus. I got to talk to several 11th and 12th grade classes and a few 8th grade classes. The students and I were able to relate on both intellectual and personal levels which was awesome.

An awesome Easter Weekend at Bible Fellowship Church in Ventura, CA

Thanks everyone at Bible Fellowship out in Ventura, CA for an awesome Easter weekend!

I spoke at three services on Easter weekend at Bible Fellowship Church and got to have a great Saturday night spending time with the youth group. My Dad, Dinesh D’Souza, joined me and we were able to talk with Pastor Daniel Hahn about faith, spiritual inquiry, and miracles, specifically focusing on Jesus’ resurrection. I felt so blessed to be able to speak to all of you and couldn’t have asked for a better audience. By the way, I can’t believe there’s going to be a YGOD study group of 60 of you all studying and discussing the chapters for the next four weeks!!
